I wanted to see a sample before placing an order for a larger sum. This 4mm clear "sample" was all I needed to see to make up my mind and order.

I think this is a great option for someone that wants a protective mat that still shows the beauty of your table. I like to put tablecloths on, but then it’s nice to take them off if you want to play games or something on your table. I priced a table pad, but two places came up being $600 and this is more than what my table is worth! The 4mm is a nice thickness that might still require a hot pad underneath a hot dish but otherwise I think would be very sturdy. I will probably put it in my garage to air out a few days before I put it on my table as it is made from a plastic substance.
