Usage tips
Usage & Maintenance – PVC Mats

Custom sizing
Order your PVC mat cut exactly to the size of your table or floor. We cut everything with high precision, with no extra margins.
Cutting yourself
Use a utility knife or snap blade knife. Work on a hard, flat surface and use a metal ruler as a guide.
Wear safety glasses and gloves for extra grip and protection.
Note: Trimming yourself is at your own risk. Damage caused by cutting is not covered under warranty.

Heat & pressure
Use coasters under hot items such as coffee cups, plates, or pans. Avoid leaving heavy objects in place for long periods to prevent imprints.
Cleaning
Simply clean with a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild detergent such as dish soap or glass cleaner. Avoid strong colorants (such as ink, tomato sauce) that may penetrate the material. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents such as solvents or acids. Sunflower oil can help mask light signs of use and restore shine.

Temperature & shrinkage
PVC may slightly expand or shrink due to temperature changes, especially in the first weeks. This is normal and will stabilize over time.
Odor
A new plastic mat may have a light plastic smell. This will naturally disappear with adequate ventilation.

Outdoor use
Temporary outdoor use is possible, but prolonged exposure to sun, rain, or frost is not recommended.
Store the mat indoors after use to prevent discoloration or deformation.
Storage
Store plastic mats flat on a level surface for best results. If rolling: roll loosely with the top side facing outward, preferably around a sturdy core. Make sure to roll the mat straight and evenly to avoid waves in the material. Avoid storage in direct sunlight, extreme heat, or damp environments.
